Ten College Student Videos Compete for $2,000 Scholarship and Scholarship Idol Title

Students from Miami Dade College, University of California, and Loyola Marymount University among finalists in ScholarshipPoints.com sponsored YouTube video contest

ScholarshipPoints’ annual Scholarship Idol video contest is now in its final week of competition. The top 10 contest videos submitted by college students from across the country have been selected. ScholarshipPoints members, family, and friends now have until March 6th to vote for the video most deserving of the ,000 scholarship award. On March 7th the first place winner, along with the second place ,000 scholarship winner and third place 0 scholarship winner, will be announced.

To enter the Scholarship Idol YouTube video contest, students were asked to create a 60-second promotional video for ScholarshipPoints.com. The submission round yielded over 100 entries from ScholarshipPoints members. Five of the top 10 videos were chosen for having the most YouTube likes and the other five were chosen by a panel of ScholarshipPoints judges for their creativity, originality and video production quality.

ScholarshipPoints.com strives to help students pay for college by providing scholarship funds, exposing members to a wide range of external scholarship offers, and helping them navigate the sometimes complicated financial aid process. With this contest ScholarshipPoints.com hopes to not only help two student members monetarily with scholarship awards, but also foster a sense of community and introduce the ScholarshipPoints.com program and its benefits to a new group of students.
